The Bladen County branch of Released Time is holding a fundraiser located at the Bladenboro Historical Building. The event starts on Saturday, February 19th, at 11 AM and lasts until 2 PM.
The event is directed by Austin Smith, Co-Director of the Bladen County Released Time branch. The fundraiser will have food plates at $8 and will be chicken and rice plates, consisting of chicken, rice, green beans, a dinner roll, and a dessert. The participants will have the option to walk up or go through a drive-through to pick up the plates.
The fundraiser will go towards the Bladen County Released Time branch to promote Biblical learning to children in public schools from kindergarten to 8th grade. When Co-Director Smith was asked about how he felt about the event, he said, “We’re pretty excited. We’ve had people say they’re coming out to pick up a plate and spread the news around to their friends and family. We’re very happy being able to support our community.” More information is available below.
