The railroad has entered the county to perform track maintenance along the CSX line – several roads are closured. An update of road openings / closings is as follows:
OPENINGS:

CLOSINGS:
Coley Road
Coley Road remains closed in order to replace the bridge over Hammonds Creek. A signed detour is in effect to use Airport Road/ White Plains Church Road/ Vause Road/Rosindale Road.
East Arcadia Road
East Arcadia Road remains closed at the railroad. Although paving is complete, it must cool overnight. Expect opening tomorrow morning (Saturday). The Falling Star / Bowen Blanks Road crossing is NOT closed so that is the closest alternative around the work area using Old Lake Road to Falling Star/Bowen Blanks to Dickson Road.
Rosindale Road
Rosindale Road remains closed at the railroad. Expect closure through early next week. Use NC 211 and White Plains Church Road for access around the work area.
US 701 Business (College St) in Clarkton
US 701 Business in Clarkton is closed at the railroad. This location will be closed until early next week. Use WN Railroad Street and WS Railroad Street for access around the closure.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
Sandhill Loop
Beginning Monday, January 29, we plan to close the east end of Sandhill Loop in order to replace crosslines.
