The North Carolina Department of Transportation announced Bladen County road closings according to Faye M. Boyne, Administrative Specialist I, Division of Highways with NCDOT.
CLOSINGS:
SR 1700 Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Road
SR 1700 (Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Road) is closed for crossline repair. It is 0.12 MI. S. of SR1708.
This begins on Monday, June 3, 2019 and will remain closed until June 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
SR1511 Sweet Home Church Road
SR1511 Sweet Home Church road will close for pipe replacement on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:00 am.
This will remain closed from June 10, 2019 – June 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. The location of closure is 1.4 miles East of NC242. Detour will be in place. Detour will be NC242S to US701N to SR1511 Sweet Home Church Road.
NC210 Near US 701
NC210 closed on Monday, June 17, 2019 and will remain closed until December 12, 2019 at 5:00 pm. They will be replacing existing pipes with a concrete box culvert. A detour is in place which is NC41 to US701. NC210 will be closed to through traffic between SR1562 (Walter K. Evans Rd.) and SR1529 (George Long Rd.).

SR1145 Martin Luther King Drive
SR1145 Martin Luther King Drive near NC76 bypass will close on Monday, June 17 at 8:00 a.m. for bridge pipe replacement. This will remain closed from June 17, 2019 – December 9, 2019 5:00 pm. Detour will be in place. Detour will be SR1148 (Quail St.) to SR1150 (Peanut Plant Rd.) to NC87 to SR1145 (Martin Luther King Drive).
NC210
NC210 will be closed 0.5 miles south of SR1549 (Moore’s Swamp Rd) on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. This will be closed with a detour. The detour in place will be NC210 to SR1550 (Beatty Bridge Rd) to Pender County SR1201 (Beatty Bridge Rd) to NC53 to Bladen County NC53 to NC210. The road will remain closed from June 24, 2019 8:00 a.m. until July 12, 2019 5:00 p.m.
ELWELL FERRY:
The Ferry remains closed (will update when it opens).
