An update of road openings / closing status for Bladen County is as follows:
Road Openings:
NC 131-410
The pipe replacements on NC 131-410 just south of the NC 131 / NC 410 split at Guyton are complete.
Upcoming Closings:
NC 131-410
Beginning Monday, August 22, we plan to close NC 131-410 at a location 0.15 miles south of SR 1118 (Marshall Cain Road) in order to replace a large crossline pipe. The road will be closed through Friday; however, there will be a relatively short detour in effect to use SR 1118 (Marshall Cain Road) and SR 1117 (Storms Road).
Elwell Ferry:
Elwell Ferry is operating. The forecast is for river levels to remain well within operating range.
