An update of road openings / closings for Bladen County is as follows:
OPENINGS:
SR 1128 (Barry Lewis Road) North of NC 211 Business
SR 1128 (Barry Lewis Road) north of NC 211 Business will open just after noon today.
SR 1131 (Webb Faulk Road)
SR 1131 (Webb Faulk Road) is open.
CLOSINGS:
SR 1100 (Center Road)
SR 1100 (Center Road) remains closed just south of SR 1121 (Zion Hill Church Road) in order to replace a damaged crossline. The road will open tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.
SR 1128 (Barry Lewis Road)
SR 1128 (Barry Lewis Road) remains closed at a location 0.98 miles north of SR 1176 (Forrest Drive). Work should be complete by Friday afternoon.
SR 1177 (Galeed Church Road)
Beginning at noon today, we plan to close SR 1177 (Galeed Church Road) just west of NC 242/410 in order to replace a crossline. The road should re-open on Thursday afternoon.
SR 1336 (Owen Hill Road)
SR 1336 (Owen Hill Road) remains closed due to construction of a double line of cast in place reinforced concrete box culvert. We are anticipating completion this week.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
SR 1100 (Center Road)
Beginning Monday, May 22, we plan to close SR 1100 (Center Road) at a location 0.44 miles south of SR 1101 (Marsh Road) in order to replace a large crossline pipe. The road will be closed through the end of next week.
SR 1122 (Cabbage Road)
Beginning Wednesday, May 17, a contractor will be moving in on SR 1122 at a location 1.24 miles south of SR 1124 (Singletary Millpond Road) in order to replace a crossline pipe damaged during the hurricane. The location will be closed through the middle of next week.
SR 1176 (Forrest Drive)
Beginning Monday, May 22, we plan to close SR 1176 (Forest Drive) at a location 0.36 miles north of NC 242 in order to begin replacement of the first of four crossline pipes on Forest Drive.

ELWELL FERRY IS OPERATING ONCE AGAIN.
