On Friday, February 25, the CDC announced that face masks are no longer required on school buses.
Bladen County Schools announced, “Effective immediately, masks are now optional on all Bladen County Schools’ buses.”

State Superintendent Catherine Truitt is launching a new Parent Advisory Commission to elevate the parents’ voice in their student’s education. The 48-member advisory board will include six parents or guardians from the state’s eight education regions to ensure diverse geographical participation.
Members will share their aspirations for and discuss challenges within the K-12 education system, helping to put together recommendations for elected officials and policymakers in North Carolina.
