Valerie Newton with Bladen County Schools sent out a call and social media posts to notify students and parents about the schools’ schedule for Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
In the post Newton said, “…due to predicted inclement weather affecting our area beginning mid-morning on Wednesday, all Bladen County Schools will be closed for students on Wednesday, January 17 and it will be an optional teacher workday. Essential transportation and maintenance personnel will be notified by your immediate supervisor with specifics for reporting to work.”
