On Friday. April 3, 2020 Bladen County School gave kudos on their social media account as the week ended. The post said, “…let’s give a shout-out to our awesome school nutrition staff for all their hard work! Since March 16, they have prepared and packaged over 73,700 meals for children in Bladen County! That’s 5,264 meals per day at seven school feeding sites. This is nothing short of incredible!”

On March 14, 2020, North Carolina Governor Roy Copper mandated that all public K-12 North Carolina schools must close for two-weeks. This included Bladen County Schools. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all Bladen County Schools closed and is not scheduled to reopen until May 15, 2020.

Parents are allowed to pick up grab and go meals for their children at the following locations. Also, school buses are delivering the meals at certain locations across the county. There is no charge to the students for the meals.
