The 2021-2022 Bladen County Schools Principal of the Year is Mrs. Vanessa Ruffin. Mrs. Ruffin is the principal of Plain View Primary School.
Mrs. Ruffin was selected as Principal of the Year by her peers.
Mrs. Ruffin graduated from Bladenboro High School, graduated from North Carolina State University, and then completed a Master’s Degree because she wanted more. She said, “My passion was Biology, and that put a spark in me.”
She started her career at Bladenboro Middle School, but continued her education and is now the Principal of Plain View Primary School. She explains her journey in education and leadership in the new
