Bladen County School’s Public Relations Director Valerie Newton announced with incoming rain tonight (Wednesday, October 10) and increased wind gusts expected throughout the day on Thursday Bladen County Schools will be closed Thursday, October 11, for students and staff; however, all identified essential personnel such as maintenance and transportation are to contact their immediate supervisor regarding their work schedule for Thursday.

Additionally, Bladen County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for Friday. We will be checking road conditions on Thursday after the storm to ensure safe travel for everyone. Should we need to make any changes to Friday’s schedule we will notify you as soon as possible through an All-call phone message, news media outlets and posting updates to the district website and social media channels.
