Bladen County Sheriff Office Announces Two Arrested for Shooting on Harrelson Road

Two Bladen County men have been arrested for a shooting that occurred on Harrelson Road near Clarkton on Friday, March 13, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim 24 year old, Dominic Tyquan Shipman of Elizabethtown, was shot several times and flown to Duke Hospital where he was treated and released this past week, according the report given by Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.

The two men arrested for the crime are currently at the Bladen County Detention Center.

The suspect in the photo above is, Darius Nikeem McDonald, of 426 Fred Monroe Drive in Clarkton, is 18 years of age and was charged with one (1) count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, one (1) count of Discharging a Weapon into an Occuppied Property with Serious Bodily Injury. McDonald has a secured bond set at $100,000.00.

The second suspect in cusdoty is Nyquan Ben Smith also of 426 Fred Monroe Drive in Clarkton, is 21 years of age. He has been charged with one (1) count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, one (1) count of Discharging a Weapon into an Occuppied Property with Serious Bodily Injury. Smith also has a secured bond set at $100,000.00.

The investigation is continuing and a motive is not clear at this time, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bladen County Sheriff’s Office at 910-862-6960.
