The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office conducted an Oath of Office ceremony on December 20, 2023, marking the induction of Deputy Jason Spivey from the New Hanover Sheriff’s Office, bringing over 13 years of diverse law enforcement experience. Deputy Spivey will serve in the court/civil squad, and the office expresses its joy in welcoming him to the team.

Additionally, Thomas Morgan Johnson, II, was honored with a promotion to Chief Deputy after exhibiting dedication in various Sheriff’s office departments, accumulating an impressive 23 years of law enforcement experience. Sheriff Jim McVicker urged community members to extend congratulations and gratitude to these individuals for their dedicated service.

Sheriff McVicker and his office also commended Investigator McKinley Raynor for successfully completing The Criminal Investigations Certificate Program.
