The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has issued a vital reminder to residents on how to report non-emergency road hazards. Effective from 6 p.m. today, the Bladen County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is prepared to handle reports of downed trees, downed power lines, and flooded roadways. Residents are urged to contact the EOC by calling either 910-862-7831 or 910-862-7810 to report these hazards.
In an effort to ensure public safety and swift response, the Sheriff’s Office emphasizes the importance of using these designated lines for non-emergency situations. This initiative aims to keep the roads clear and safe for travel, mitigating risks posed by fallen trees, damaged power lines, and water-covered roads.
Reporting Protocol:
1. Downed Trees: If residents encounter fallen trees obstructing roadways, they are encouraged to call 910-862-7831 or 910-862-7810.
2. Downed Power Lines: Hazardous power lines should be reported immediately using the same contact numbers.
3. Flooded Roadways: Any instances of roadways being inundated with water should also be communicated to the EOC at the provided numbers.
