Veterans Day is fast approaching. According to Sheila Nance, Bladen County Information Officer, Bladen County facilities will be bathed in green light on the evening of Monday, November 7th – Sunday, November 13th to show appreciation and support for our veterans.
In a press release, Nance stated, “We are joining the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers (NACVSO) in this effort.”
According to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners’ website, “More than 600,000 veterans reside in North Carolina’s counties. Operation Green Light illuminates their service and sacrifice.”
