The Bladen County Shrine Club held their annual fall fish fry on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The Shrine Club had two locations for the fish fry — Bo’s Foods in Bladenboro and the Food Lion Parking Lot in Elizabethtown. The aroma of fresh, hot fish permeated the air at both locations.
At noon the lines were long as folks patiently waited their turn to receive their plates. Plates consisted of fresh hot fish, sweet potato chips, and slaw.
Many stopped to enjoy their fish and converse with friends and neighbors at each location. The proceeds raised from the plate sale go to benefit the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
