Emereau: Bladen brought the production of Disney’s Mulan Jr. center stage at Robeson Community College on Thursday evening. Executive Director of Emereau: Bladen, Mrs. Carla Fisher welcomed the large audience to the heavily anticipated event.

Mr. Quentin Lovette, Director, Set and Costume Designer prepared the crowd to be entertained as he presented the popular stage feature.

The production brought ancient China to life in songs and with a story. The performances were played with action, humor and heart.

The story line tells of the evil Huns and their attempt to invade China. It is up to the misfit Mulan, played by Gabriella Bray and her demoted, humorous dragon sidekick, Mushu, played by Zachary Headen, to save the Emperor, played by Isaiah Loftis.

Mulan takes up arms and disguises herself as a boy to spare her father from serving in the army. The battle with the Huns approaches, and Mulan must choose between revealing her true identity as a girl or saving all of China.

Videos are available of the production. View the program’s cast line up in the slide show below:
