Bladen County Schools celebrated its brightest young scientists at the district’s Science and Engineering Fair, held yesterday at the district office. Talented students in grades 4 through 8 showcased their impressive projects, wowing judges with their creativity, research, and scientific ingenuity.
A panel of expert judges evaluated the projects, including Roy Corpening, a retired middle school science teacher; Lee Anne Bryan, an engineering and information technology instructor; Charles Aiken, NCDPI section chief for mathematics, science, and STEM; and Connie Kinlaw, a retired K-5 science curriculum specialist and high school science teacher.
After careful deliberation, the winners were announced:
