The Bladen County Substance Abuse Task Force has a new campaign starting soon. A billboard created by Lamar Advertising for Bladen County Substance Abuse Task Force Campaign advertising the help available for anyone battling addiction.

The billboards will be placed on Highway 701 South, Clarkton, and on Highway 87 East in Elizabethtown, according to Dr. Cathy Gantz, director of the task force.

Dr. Cathy Gantz stated, “We are part of a rotary, and the billboard message will rotate every eight weeks for one year. The unveiling for one location could begin as early as May 11th and definitely by the week of May 18th.”

She continued, “We want to display the billboards for people with addiction to call our central number so we can give guidance as well as link them with any services needed.”

Then the central number to call for assistance is 910-872-6256.

In closing, Dr. Gantz said, “The citizens are committed to helping each other. We want our community to be safe and healthy. The task force  works very hard, and its a great group.”
