Bladen County Superior Court was in session Monday, March 7 and Tuesday, March 8. Judge Beecher R. Gray presided. Some of the plea agreements reached were:

** Robert Claude Milton, 49, plead guilty to felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance. Sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation and ordered to receive a substance abuse assessment. Charges of resisting public officer and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were dismissed.

In court statements, on May 22, 2015, an officer noticed Milton appeared to be intoxicated while walking among the street. While being questioned, Milton put his hands in his pants pockets. A person walked by and told the officer that Milton had drugs in his key chain. Milton then threw his keys on the ground. A search of the key chain found crack cocaine.

** Bernadine A. Brady, 57, plead guilty to possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance. Sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, ordered to receive a substance abuse assessment and pay $240 restitution to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.  Charges of sell Schedule IV controlled substance, deliver Schedule IV controlled substance, manufacture Schedule IV controlled substance, and maintain vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance were dismissed.

In court statements, on or about April 13, 2015, Brady sold a bottle of prescription pills to an undercover agent.

** Tonya Louise Spivey-Cook, 43, plead guilty to driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. She was sentenced to 30 days in custody to be served as determined by her probation officer. Spivey-Cook also plead guilty to possession of cocaine under a conditional discharge, which means if she has no violations during 12 months of supervised probation, the charge will be removed from her record. A charge of driving left of center was dismissed.

In court statements, on June 6, 2015 about 11:30 p.m. near White Oak, an officer noticed the vehicle being driven by Spivey-Cook left of the center line. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer noted an odor of alcohol and found an open contained on the front seat of the vehicle. A field test found Spivey-Cook with a blood alcohol content of .08, which is the minimal level required to be charged. During a search, the officer found in Spivey-Cook’s wallet a revoked driver’s license and a white substance. A field test showed the substance was cocaine.

** Melissa McKoy plead guilty to counterfeit trademark violation. Sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and perform 30 hours of community service within 90 days.

In court statements, McKoy’s vehicle was stopped after she registered driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer noted an odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle found 88 pairs of counterfeit Nike shoes along with other items with an estimated value of $8,800. Charges of felony financial card fraud and identity theft were dismissed.

** Michelle Leigh Craig, 45, plead guilty to misdemeanor financial card fraud. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and perform 20 hours of community service within 90 days.

In court statements, between June and August, 2015, Craig took her mother’s debit card without her knowledge and made purchases of about $6,000 at various businesses in Bladen County.

** Mark Anthony McCray, 25, plead guilty to possession of a stolen firearm under a conditional discharge, which means if he has no violations during 12 months of supervised probation and performs 24 hours of community service, the charge will be removed from his record. Charges of carrying a concealed weapon and simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance were dismissed.

In court statements, McCray was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped during a license check along Twisted Hickory Road on May 24, 2015 about 3 a.m. During the check, an officer noted an odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle found a book bag in the back seat that contained a pistol. McCray claimed possession of the pistol. However, a records search found that the pistol had been reported stolen.

** Stevie Lee Tatum, 46, plead guilty to sell Schedule VI controlled substance and conspire to deliver Schedule VI controlled substance. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, ordered to receive a substance abuse assessment and pay restitution of $240 to Department of Alcohol Law Enforcement. Charges of trafficking opium or heroin, conspire to traffic opium or heroin, conspire to sell Schedule II controlled substance, deliver Schedule II controlled substance, and conspire to sell Schedule II controlled substance and deliver Schedule II controlled substance were dismissed.

In court statements, on Oct, 17, 2014, an undercover agent arranged for Tatum to meet another agent in order to sell 15 oxycodone pills. The transaction took place near the Cape Fear River bridge.

** Heather Marie Harwood plead guilty to misdemeanor larceny. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and pay restitution of $400 to the victim. A charge of obtain property by false pretense was dismissed.

In court statements, Harwood posted an advertisement on Craig’s List offering to rent a lot at White Lake for $400. A person paid the $400 rent. However, Harwood did not own the lot that she posted for rent.

** Robert Andrew Munn plead guilty to possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute Schedule II controlled substance and sell or deliever Schedule II controlled substance. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and pay restitution of $240 to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office. Charges of manufacture Schedule II controlled substance and maintain vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance were dismissed.

In court statements, on or about May 12, 2015, Munn sold 20 methodone pills to an undercover agent.

** Timothy Wayne Sealey, 24, plead guilty to misdemeanor larceny. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, pay restitution of $730 to the victim and credited with time served in jail. A charge of safecracking was dismissed.

In court statements, on July 18, 2014, Sealey took a safe from a house that he had been residing. The safe contained $730 plus personal items belonging to the victim. Sealey contacted the victim and told the person who would return the personal items if law enforcement was not called. However, the victim had already notified law enforcement.

** Charles Rashad McKiver, 27, plead guilty to felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and ordered to received a substance abuse assessment. Charges of possess drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer were dismissed.

In court statements, after citizen complaints and reports, the Elizabethtown Police Department coordinated an undercover operation at Classic Touch Car Wash. An officer observed a hand-to-hand drug transaction involving McKiver. After McKiver drove away, his vehicle was stopped on Mercer Mill Road. McKiver consented to a pat down by an officer. During the search, the officer found a bag of crack cocaine in one of McKiver’s pockets. A search of the vehicle found about 3 1/2 ounce of marijuana that appeared intended for sale.
