Teen Court was held Monday night, February 20, with former Magistrate Judge Aaron Cox presiding.

Three cases were on docket. Youth volunteers served as attorneys, jurors, bailiff and observers.

Schools represented were East Bladen, West Bladen and Paul R. Brown  Leadership Academy. Assistant District Attorney Quinton McGee volunteers as an advisor with the program.

Teen Court is an alternative system of justice, which offers first-time juvenile offenders between the ages of 12 and 18 an opportunity to take responsibility for their offenses through community service and other educational opportunities.
