Bladen County, NC—The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) is collaborating with Bladen County to present a screening of The Veteran’s Battlefield, the latest documentary from NCACC’s 100 Strong Productions. This event will take place on November 8, 2024, at 6:00 PM inside the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market.

The Veteran’s Battlefield delves into the challenges faced by veterans in North Carolina and highlights ways counties and residents can better support the veteran community. With approximately 700,000 veterans residing in North Carolina, which ranks as the eighth-largest veteran population in the nation, the documentary brings to light various issues that can appear daunting for these individuals. It showcases the efforts of county Veteran Service Officers and community leaders who are actively working to provide support.

The screening is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for community members to engage with important topics related to veteran services.

The event is being hosted by the Bladen County government in partnership with several organizations, including the American Legion Post 404, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8062, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Robert Curtis Hester Chapter 99. Bladen County Commissioners, along with local stakeholders and organizations, will be present to distribute information and facilitate discussions on veteran support services.
