The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Bladen County from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning. Areas of frost are expected to develop between 4 a.m. and sunrise. The frost should begin to melt between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The low temperatures could impact sensitive crops and vegetation, which will be susceptible to patchy areas of frost, according to the National Weather Service. It’s advised for people to take necessary precautions to prevent damage to outdoor plants and crops. Outdoor plants and vegetation may die if left uncovered.
