Computer Operations Director Robin Hewett sent out an urgent email on Friday morning warning about a malicious website. According to Hewett’s report, a malicious website pretending to be the live map for Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases by Johns Hopkins University is circulating on the internet waiting for unwitting internet users to visit the site.
Hewett warns, “Look out for emails from John Hopkins University about a Coronavirus Map!” He then advises, “Delete the email and then delete the email from the email trash folder.”
