Got Kids or Grandkids? Got Laying Hens and Eggs? 4-H has a contest for youth ages 5-18 to participate in our 4-H Egg-Cellent Egg Contest. The deadline is Sept 10 and cost is $10 per youth. Youth must register as a 4-H member to participate. You will need to create a new or update your existing 4-H Online Family Profile on 4-H Online at https://v2.4honline.com/ and then add each child as a member by completing all of the enrollment information. Youth must be age 5 to 18 as of January 1, 2021, to enroll as a 4-H’er.
Then youth register for the contest at go.ncsu.edu/ eggcellenteggcontestregistrati on. Youth can submit up to 2 dozen eggs in the contest, they watch 2 live or recording training sessions and submit supplemental work as part of the contest. All youth that complete the project will receive a t-shirt and there is prize money for age groups and color of eggs.
