DarienneSome say the best kind of prize is a surprise. Darienne Breazeale, a NASCAR Fan from Bladen County, and NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch are reaping the benefits of a surprise encounter, now going viral, that happened this past weekend in Martinsville, VA.

The unforgettable exchange came in a traffic jam on Sunday. The video has gone viral on Kyle Busch’s Facebook page with over 12 million views already.

Darienne was riding in her vehicle as her friend drove in the heavy traffic after the Martinsville, VA, race Sunday. When traffic slowed Darienne looked over beside her, Kyle Busch, her NASCAR hero, was rolling down his window to tell her hello.

Darienne said, “He [Kyle Busch] rolled down his window and said ‘Hey, What’s up’?” Then she said, “I lost it. I’m a huge Kyle Busch fan and always have been since I can remember.”

Kyle’s wife, Samantha caught it all on video. Samantha said in her blog, “I am so happy I decided to record this on my phone because the fan’s reaction was absolutely priceless!”

Darienne told us she had attended both races this weekend in Martinsville. After Busch won both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Darienne waited for him to come out at pit row for about two and a half hours.

The wait was worth it according to Darienne because Kyle came out and threw his hat and she happened to catch it. The hat she caught, is the same one that Kyle signed in the video.

Since the video was posted on the internet, it’s raced just as fast as Kyle did this past weekend. It has exceeded 12 million views just on Kyle Busch’s Facebook page, not to mention, his wife’s social media accounts, fan’s social accounts and the news media outlets broadcasting nation wide.

Darienne said that today she has received phone calls from ESPN, Fox Sports, the Today’s Show, Good Morning America and other news outlets.  She has received over 14 thousand friend requests on Facebook and over 500 messages.

However, the best phone call of all may have been from the Kyle Busch and his team. Darienne has been invited to join Busch April 15th through the 17th at the Bristol races.

Darienne said she was on the phone with her dad, Tracey Trivette, a local business owner in Bladen County, trying to tell him all about it, but she couldn’t stop crying. She says she is still in shock, but very excited.
