The Bladen Crisis Thrift Store is in need of folks who are willing to volunteer their time at the store.

Manager Ruth Hall said that volunteers do not have to have any special skills. Volunteers are needed to sort donations, put merchandise of the sales floor and help to keep the store clean.

“It’s a good way to meet people and make new friends,” said Hall.

Volunteers can work as few as four hours or as many hours as they want. Hall said volunteers do need to be able to work at least one day each week.

Hall said one volunteer comes to the store each Friday and works until noon and another volunteer works all day on Saturday.

The store’s hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The store is located at 109-111 Martin Luther King Drive, Elizabethtown, across from the Cape Fear Farmers Market.  If you would like to help, Hall can be reached by calling 910-879-1033.
