The September edition of OUR STATE MAGAZINE carried a feature entitled 100 VOICES FROM 100 COUNTIES. Bladen’s featured voice was that of Robert Kinlaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Kinlaw of White Lake. Robert, a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, spent years putting together his first feature-length documentary which aired on UNC-TV this summer. The feature told the story of one of North Carolina’s oldest and most popular vacation retreats, crystal clear White Lake. Kinlaw did interviews with numerous folks who told stories and histories about the lake.
