The Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity and Bladen Habitat for Humanity are working together to build a home on King Street in Elizabethtown. Work on the project is progressing and Habitat volunteers are excited. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in August where the home’s new owners Regina and Jerry McIntyre and their twin sons, Sherod and Jerry Jr. were introduced.

The McIntyre family are lifelong residents of Elizabethtown and are excited about their new home.

The build is part of a partnership that was formed between State Employees Credit Union and  Habitat for Humanity with the goal of building affordable homes in every county. The partnership is worth $10 million to North Carolina’s economy.
