The group also said “Thank You” to McLean. McLean is now working with Clemson University as an Horticulture Agent in South Carolina. Previously, Bruce was an Extension Agent with Bladen County and worked endlessly with the Volunteers, providing information, assistance and training.

The MASTER GARDNER Volunteer program is open to anyone wishing to become a MASTER GARDNER through the N.C. State certification program.

The main fundraising project is an annual plant sale which enables the organization to award two scholarships to students seeking degrees in Agriculture related studies.
