Bladen Ministerial Association covers important issues 2
The Bladen Ministerial Association met Tuesday morning at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital.
Rev. Larry Hayes spoke about the importance of the association’s support of two local charities, Southeastern Carolina Crossroads and Bladen Crisis Center. According to Hayes the association gives to the charities monthly.
Dewayne Lambert announced Pastor Felicia Murchison and Pastor Darryl Copeland as new Chaplains at the hospital. Lambert said, “It’s rewarding.”
Charles Ray Peterson made a presentation about the sales tax referendum for EMS. Peterson said, “I’m not representing the Board of Commissioner here today, I’m here as a concerned citizen. I think things like this is important in Bladen County.”
He continued, “The purpose of the sales tax is to enhance our Emergency Medical Services for the citizens of Bladen County.”
“If you would like for us to come to your church to talk about this I will go where ever, if you don’t want me to go I will send someone else.” Peterson concluded.
Pastor Charles Hester said, “Sounds like it’s important because all of us will need the services at some time or another.”
Bladen Ministerial Association covers important issuesCommissioner Bullock then gave a presentation about the Da Branch 1440 AM WBLA radio station he is the President of in Bladen County.
“Our station is a 24 hour gospel station serving Bladen and surrounding 5000 watts of listening power. It’s owned and operated by Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church.” Bullock said.
He added “We don’t play anything but gospel.”
Bullock also announced, “We will have a new website and will have a live stream.”
When asked how to get church announcements on the radio, Bullock said to contact the station and you can have all your church announcements add for $25 per month.
