BladenOnline.com is proud to welcome two interns for the summer.  Dora Brogdon was selected to serve as our High School Intern and Katie Galyean was selected to serve as our College Summer Intern.

Dora is a student at Columbus Career College Academy and is the daughter of Judith Brogdon of Clarkton. She enjoys writing, drawing, listening to music, games, reading comics, watching Korean dramas.

She wants to major in Marine Biology but is also working towards becoming certified in radio. Two of Dora’s goals are to become a famous radio DJ and to become a writer. She hopes to visit Paris, France one day.

Dora is excited about working with BladenOnline and is looking forward to her summer with our staff.  Her main responsibilities will be assisting our staff by contributing story ideas, assisting with research, and assisting with videography.

Katie Galyean is a senior attending North Greenville University in South Carolina where she is majoring in Media Ministry in the College of Communications. She is also working on a minor in visual art with a concentration in graphic design.

Katie has worked with NGU’s radio, yearbook, and online news teams. After graduating, she hopes to work with a ministry to build graphics and help market their program.

Katie has lived in Bladen County since 2008 and is excited to work with BladenOnline to serve the county!

She is the daughter of Barry and Michelle Galyean of Dublin.

Katie’s main responsibilities will include researching and writing stories about people, events, and things of interest in Bladen County as well as photography.

“I am very excited about our interns and our internship program. Internships are beneficial in many ways for not only the intern but also the business,” said Charlotte Smith.

We are excited to have both ladies working with us at BladenOnline. We hope you will give them both a warm welcome in the community.
