Madisyn Butler, Racquel Whittington and Avianna Whittington slugged home runs during a 6-run, 3rd inning rally that carried the Heat to a 10-9 victory over the Bandits Thursday night in Bladen Recreation 8-10 Softball action.

The Bandits took a 9-4 lead into the home half of the third, before Butler lined a solo home run to start the inning. Tiyana Singletary and Avery Tatum belted singles and scored runs.

Kaylee Fisher smacked a single, and Racquel Whittington hammered a game-tying 2-run home run to right-center field. Avianna Whittington then slammed the game-winning home run that ended the game.

The Bandits jumped in front with a 4-run first. Hailii Andrews, Laikyn Rogerson and Keri Faye Burgess ripped singles to start the game and all 3 of them scored. Caity McLaurin drilled a home run that pushed the lead to 4-0.

Fisher led off the Heat 1st inning with a single and circled the bases to trim the margin to 4-1. Aubree Smith, Andrews and Rogerson cracked singles in the Bandits 2nd inning and all 3 of them scored to stretch the lead to 7-1.

Rylee White smashed a double to start the Heat 2nd inning, and Jeniyah Whittington and India Storms spanked singles. All 3 of them scored as the Heat closed the gap to 7-4.

Anna Claire Walters sliced a double to left-center field in the Bandit 3rd inning, and Riley Dowless was hit by a pitch. Both of them scored as the lead grew to 9-4.

Andrews and Rogerson both batted 2-for-2 and scored 2 runs each for the Bandits. Fisher was 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored for the Heat. Rogerson struck out 3 batters in her time in the circle. Fisher struck out 5 batters in her 3 innings in the circle for the Heat.
