
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Bladen County beginning at 4 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday.
A low pressure system is expected to move across the southeast late Friday through Saturday morning bringing a period of freezing rain to the area. Total ice accumulations up to around one tenth of an inch are possible.
Conditions could make travel conditions difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
The advisory also includes Robeson County, Columbus County, inland Pender County and portions of northeast South Carolina.
