Bladen County American Legion Post 404, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 99, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8062 and NC Works are planning a Veterans and Community Stand Down on Thursday, April 22 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
The event will offer assistance and support services for veterans in a variety of areas, including VA benefit and claims, VA medical, vocational rehab, housing information and legal services. Also, representatives from Wounded Warrior Project, Smart Recovery, Lone Survivor Foundation and Military Missions in Action are expected to attend.
The evenr will be held in the church’s Christian Activity Center, which is located behind the main church building.
