The 28th Annual Bladen We Care Byron H. Gooden Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 at Vineyard Golf at White Lake located between Elizabethtown and White Lake. Bladen We Care is a community based, not for profit foundation, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to raising and overseeing distribution of funds which will help provide health care for patients in need in Bladen County. Members of the Board of Directors are Dr. Dave Allen, Norgie Hester, David Cross, Robert G. Hester, Billy Fisher (Vice President), Marvin Tatum, Wesley Campbell, Hayes Petteway, Charles DeVane, Ann Warner (Secretary), Catherine DeVane, Alan Thompson, and Mac Campbell (President).
The 28th Annual Tournament will actually feature two tournaments. The morning event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and the afternoon event will start at 1 p.m. A total of 60 four-man teams played last year with 30 teams in the a.m. and 30 teams in the p.m. The event uses a Captain’s Choice format.

The cost per team is $125.00 per person. Any person or firm interested in becoming a sponsor is asked to call the above. Breakfast will be available for the morning players and lunch will be available for all players.
