Bladen We Care recently received a donation to assist them in their efforts to assist Bladen County residents with their medication needs.

BladenOnline.com General Manager Erin Smith presented a check to Bladen We Care’s Mac Campbell recently. The check was a portion of the proceeds from the printing of the Bladen County Beautiful magazine.

The funds and donations that are raised by Bladen We Care are used to assist Bladen County families. Bladen We Care assists residents who cannot afford their medicines. The assistance comes in the form of grants and the group does not pay for pain medications.

Campbell said one requirement to receive assistance is you must reside in Bladen County. The group also offers nursing scholarships at Bladen Community College and UNC-Pembroke.
