Bladen We Care Board member presented a check to Director of Southeastern Carolina Crossroads, Pastor Kincy Barrow, on Friday morning. One thousand dollars was donated by North Carolina Lt. Governor Dan Forest. Bladen We Care matched Forest’s donation with an additional one thousand dollars.
Southeastern Carolina Crossroads is an addiction rehabilitation facility in Bladen County. Barrow announced this morning the rehab center is currently at capacity, with 24 residents in the program. The funding may be used to help expand the 24-bed facility to 34 beds, so the non-profit may provide the needed services to more people at one time.
Bladen We Care, a local non-profit serving Bladen County, received thousands of dollars last week from North Carolina Lt. Governor Dan Forest to help their efforts in the county.
