Bladen We Care Chairman Mac Campbell Jr. presented a check to Bladenboro Mayor David Hales recently in memory of Billy Ray Fisher, a longtime member of Bladen We Care’s Board of Directors.
The contribution will be used for a rest stop for hikers/visitors near City Hall.
Others attending the event included Town Councilman Terry Nance Jr. and Robert G. Hester, a member of the Bladen We Care board.
Mr. Fisher died in 2020 at 85 years old.
Bladen We Care is a community based, not for profit, foundation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to raising and overseeing distribution of funds which will help provide health care and community service.
