Mac Campbell Jr., president of Bladen We Care, recently presented a check for $25,000 to Rev. Kinsey Barrow, director of Southeastern Carolina Crossroads, to assist in making numerous repairs and updates to the rehab center located on Susie Sand Road near Elizabethtown. Board member Robert G. Hester also attended the presentation.
Bladen We Care also provides assistance to numerous local non-profit organizations and needy individuals and families with medical issues throughout the county. Bladen We Care has also awarded scholarships at Bladen Community College and UNC-Pembroke.
The primary source of fundraising is an annual golf tournament supported by local individuals, as well as numerous corporate businesses, and other contributions.
The 2023 golf tournament will be held June 21st at River Landing Golf Course. At this time the tournament is full, and there is a waiting list for those hopeful of participating.
