The Bladenboro Board of Commissioners met for about an hour in closed session Monday to discuss personnel, but took no action in open session. State law allows boards to meet in closed session to discuss personnel matters.
The town is looking for an administrator and has closed the application process. Current Town Administrator Melanie Hester has said she would prefer to return to her previous job as town clerk, a position she held for about 10 years. Hester was named acting town administrator in March 2014 and became the administrator in July 2014.
