Bladenboro Celebrates Local Beauty Shop Grand Opening

In October of 2019, Chandler Lennon, his family, and friends celebrated the Grand Opening of Chandler’s Backstreet Barber Shop in Bladenboro with Boost the Boro, Inc. members. Fast forward to May 23, 2021, and the Lennon family businesses continue to grow in downtown Bladenboro by opening Chandler’s Backstreet Beauty Shop.

Sunday afternoon, a crowd of around 30 people was in attendance to celebrate a new beauty salon opening. Sara Lennon, the proprietor of Chandler’s Backstreet Beauty Shop, cut the ribbon in front of her salon doors surrounded by family, friends, and Boost the Boro, Inc., members.

Terry Nance, Boost the Boro President welcomed everyone and remarked the Boost the Boro appreciates the Lennon Family’s efforts. Nance stated, “The Lennon’s remodeled and updated their building, and we are looking forward to big things for them.”

He continued saying, “It’s especially great for Bladenboro. We now have four stylists in this very nice facility, and we hope they will be very successful.”

Pastor of Galeed Baptist Church, Brett Young, prayed a blessing over the new business. Then Sara Lennon welcomed everyone inside for refreshments and a tour of the facility.

Chandler’s Backstreet Beauty Shop is at the corner of Ashe and Railroad Street in Bladenboro.
