A Bladenboro man was killed in a single car crash in Cherokee County, South Carolina on Saturday. The crash occurred on Interstate 85 at 4:15 a.m., according to South Carolina officials.

According to reports, Samuel Wayne Johnson, 31, of Bladenboro, was operating a Toyota SUV and traveling north when the vehicle overturned and caught fire after traveling off the right side of the roadway, into a wooded area along the Interstate. Johnson was trapped underneath the vehicle after being partially ejected during the crash, according to reports.
