GrahamThe Bladenboro Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took place early Monday morning, according to Police Chief Chris Hunt.

Officers are not releasing the name of the victim at this time.

“We received a call at about 8:02 a.m. that a subject had been stabbed,” said Hunt.

He said that officers responded to the scene and learned that the subject had left. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

“The suspect was arrested about 30 minutes later,” said Hunt.

He said officers found and arrested, Biney Graham, about four blocks from the scene of the stabbing.  Graham is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury and assault with serious bodily injury.

Also responding were the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Chief Hunt said the State Bureau of Investigation also assisted.
