Bladen We Care Chairman Mac Campbell, Jr. presented a check for $10,000 to Bladenboro Mayor David Hales for badly needed updates to the Bladenboro Community Building.
The county recently received a grant for $90 thousand for upgrades.  County Commissioners designated Bladen We Care to determine where some of the most needed projects were and to parcel out the money.  Commissioners Cameron McGill and Dr. Danny Ellis suggested Bladen We Care, and the board approved..
Bladen We Care Chairman Campbell led the efforts to solicit proposed projects, countywide.  Each organization received or will receive $10,000 each.  Bladenboro Town Council made the decision to update an aging, but well cared-facility that is used by numerous local organizations.
Campbell presented the Bladenboro check to Mayor David Hales, looking on were Kelsey Hammonds, Bladenboro City Manager,   Bladen We Care board member Ann Warner and Councilman H. Blake Proctor.
Campbell said the funds were in memory  of Billy Ray Fisher, long time Bladen We Care board member.
