Bladenboro Historical BuildingThe town of Bladenboro is gearing up to celebrate the Centennial anniversary of the Farm Life School Building (Bladenboro Historical Society Building) on Saturday. The celebration kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Bladenboro Rotary Club and Bladenboro Historical Society followed by opening ceremonies at 10 a.m.

The pancake breakfast will be held inside the Bladenboro Farm Life School Building from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any Bladenboro Rotary Club member of Bladenboro Historical Society member.

Following the pancake breakfast, opening ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. with the posting of the colors by the West Bladen High School Color Guard. Southern author and speaker Bill Thompson will be a special guest for the event.

The 82nd Airborne Division’s All American Chorus is slated to perform as well. They are a crowd favorite and sing a variety of tunes such as “God Bless America.”

There will also be vendors on hand and food and fun games as well as live entertainment. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the day.
