Bladenboro Christmas for the Children kicks offThe town of Bladenboro is set to hold their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the Bladenboro Farmers Market.

New Light Church will be serving cookies and the Bladenboro Rotary Club will be supplying plenty of hot chocolate to chase away the cold. Santa will also be present to hear the wishes of each girl and boy who attend.

Don’t forget there will be plenty of caroling as well! There will be performances from the Galeed Praise Team, Austin Stone and Nick Peavy, Kayla Walters, and Gene Norton.

Then on Saturday morning, the Christmas celebration continues with the Bladenboro Christmas Parade at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at the Fresh Foods parking lot and ends at the Bladenboro Historical Society Building. There will be plenty of beauty queens, festive floats, horses and fire trucks for everyone.
