Bladenonline.com had a very special visitor to our offices on Wednesday morning. Grace Sadler, a student at Tar Heel Middle School, was taking part in the Bladen County 4-H Job Shadowing program and spent her morning with Editor Erin Smith.
Sadler learned about how to create and post stories to the blog. Smith discussed different aspects of her job as Editor as well as covering stories. Sadler said she hopes to one day work in a government office but was curious about writing and how to write news stories. Sadler also learned about the role that social media and advertising play in news coverage as well.
The job shadowing program helps participants learn about different careers and the skills needed to be successful in them. We at bladenonline.com wish Sadler much success in her future endeavors.
