The Bladen County Board of Education will meet on tonight (Monday, Sept. 12) night at 6 p.m. in the meeting room of the Bladen County Board of Education office on US 701 South, Elizabethtown.
The board is scheduled to make several spotlights and recognitions. Those include a presentation regarding the foreign exchange student program, the Accountability State Award, and CTE Teacher Proficiency.
Information items will include updates on drivers education, a school consolidation review, updates and planning, parent involvement updates, assessment data summary, the August financial summary, and a presentation of an agreement between Bladen County Health Department and Bladen County Schools.
Action items will include fundraisers, the comprehensive innovative high schools update, parent advisory councils, and an occupational therapy contract.
Closed session items will include student transfers, legal issues and certified and classified personnel matters.
The board will also receive a report from Bladen County Schools Superintendent Robert Taylor and a report from Board Chairman Wilbur Smith.
