The Bladen County Board of Education is set to meet tonight (Monday, April 18) at 6:30 p.m. at the Bladen County Board of Education.
The board is set to recognize the Soil and Water Competitors; bully prevention showcase; the middle school Battle of the Books winner; HOSA state competition winners; ServSafe Certified students; Envirothon Regional Competition winners; and award the monthly student attendance banners.
The board is set to hear a report from Finance Director Sharon Penny regarding the March financial summary.
The board is also set to take action on the following items: the school nutrition calendar; CTE Executive Summary for 2016-2017; the proposed budget for 2016-2017; Budget Amendments; AIG Plan; Fundraising Request; and Overnight Field Trip Requests.
There is also a closed session for personnel matter, student transfers and legal matter.
The board will also receive the Superintendent’s Report from Dr. Robert Taylor. Scheduled to be discussed are: the “Every 15 Minutes” event; the Comprehensive Innovative High School program; the FSU Core i3 Grant; Career Day with Brian Campbell and BCS; the Every Student Succeeds Act; and an update on the National School Board Conference.
