Spread the love

October 2019 is growing closer as summer comes to an end. Boost the Boro, Inc., a Bladenboro non-profit, is dedicated to helping their community grow. Each year the group plans, and develops a strategy to bring in droves of people for the annual Beast Fest. This year is no different.

Don White with Boost the Boro announced this week the drop dead date for any businesses interested in the opportunity of sponsoring the popular event.

The Main Event & Platinum Sponsors deadline is September 14th. This will allow the t-shirt committee to place the orders for t-shirts and sweatshirts with the list of event and platinum sponsors. It also allows time for the flags and street banners to be printed so they can be hung in downtown Bladenboro a couple weeks prior to the Beast Fest according to White.

Main Event Sponsors receive verbal acknowledgement at the peak attendance times on both days of the festival. They will be featured on a special stage banner as a Main Sponsor, and they will also receive all Platinum Level recognition listed below. Sponsorship investment for the Main Event Sponsor is $2,500 or more.

Platinum Sponsors receive a roadway banner on Main Street in Bladenboro before and after the event along with the banner pole. Sponsors will be featured on t-shirts and on the stage banner and have a free vendor spot. Also, these sponsors will be listed on social media and news outlets in Bladen County advertising the events. The investment for Platinum Sponsorship is $1,000.

The Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsors have until September 30th to turn in their sponsorship donations.

“Obviously, any and all sponsorship donations will be appreciated anytime for that matter, but to be included on signage at Beast Fest, we need to have these sponsors confirmed by the drop dead date,” White explained.

Gold Sponsorship investment is $500 which entitles the sponsor to their name in large print on signage, a free vendor spot (*Company use only) and media advertising.

Silver Sponsors invest $250 and will receive company name displayed on signage and media advertising.

Bronze Sponsors will receive media outlet advertising for an investment of $100.

Boost the Boro, Inc. is registered as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with over 50 volunteers.

The Best Fest will kick off this year on Friday, October 25th starting at 5 p.m. Fun Time Carnival Rides, a variety of on-site food vendors and a live concert, featuring one of the East Coast’s most sought after bands, Steve Owens & The Summertime Band is expected to draw a crowd.

Then on Saturday, October 26th the Grand Opening Ceremony will begin at 10:00  a.m. when “BOB” or the Beast of Bladenboro will take center stage to greet those in attendance. There will be a full day of entertainment on the main stage. The annual children’s costume contest, the arts, crafts, food vendors, carnival rides, classic car show, and horse and wagon rides draws thousands to downtown Bladenboro each year.

One of the top entertainment events held on Saturday will feature, Jim Quick & Coastline, winner of the 2018 Carolina Beach Music Entertainment of the Year award.

Not to forget the always successful, “Trunk or Treat” production sponsored by New Light Church, which usually draws over 2,000 children, will also be on site.

“As you can tell, this year’s festival is shaping up to be one of our best and thousands are expected to attend,” White stated.
